Ride deeper into Myoko with us
Our home mountain for the week will be Ikenotaira – away from the crowds, with easy runs and cruisy tree lines. With our team of hosts showing you around the mountains, get ready to explore not only at Myoko’s mainstays of Ikenotaira, Suginohara, Akakura Kanko, but with day trips to Madarao or Nozawa Onsen included! That’s not all, we will also be checking out secret resorts that only the locals know of, and no, we’re not just talking about Seki Onsen! Each evening, our team of hosts will check the latest snow and weather conditions to pick the best resort for the next day, and give you tips on how to layer up properly!
Morning Mountain Orientation
Ride out with your hosts in small groups by skill level. Your hosts will guide you to the best lines for your ability, show you how to get around the slopes safely —and help you level up through the week.
Afternoon Free & Easy
grab lunch, continue riding with new friends, go back to our favorite runs or start apres-ski early – it’s up to you!
Evening
Unwind at Myoko’s local onsens, eat, drink and hang out with the group. If you’re staying at Mountain Lodge, your package includes daily onsen ticket to Landmark Onsen next door. Dinner reservations will also be made each night at our favourite spots in Myoko. Prefer a quiet night in or on a budget? You’ll also have the option to cook and hang out at the lodge instead! We know this is not a boot camp and there’s no need to rush through your holiday, so take some time to yourself with a Free and Easy day in the middle of the week. Ride, eat, be merry – it’s all up to you.
Check Out
Just like that, it’s Saturday again and you’ll be off to your next adventure, on or off the board – but this is not goodbye, it’s see you again! If you’re heading to another location and would like to arrange for Ta-Q-Bin/ Black Cat to do a pick up for your bags, we’ll bring you to the nearest outpost on Friday evening before 6PM.

The Ride Side’s Mountain Lodge
Your home for the week is a cozy private lodge with the rest of our group, where you’ll quickly get to know your trip mates—maybe a little too well (in the best way). Expect cook-in nights, late-night chats, and the kind of nightcap sessions that make trips like this unforgettable.
Mountains we’ll be riding
Akakura
The largest ski area in Myoko, you can expect wide groomers for beginners and intermediates to progress on as well as steep terrain with epic tree runs for the advanced riders.
Mountains we’ll be riding
Ikenotaira
Beginner-friendly resort with long and wide piste runs with good tree riding options. Perfect to warm up the legs for the week.
Mountains we’ll be riding
Suginohara
Home to Japan’s longest run at 8.5km, with lots to see along the way. Sugi has something for everyone — steep tree runs, piste of all colours and even moguls for the skiers 😉
Mountains we’ll be riding
Nozawa Onsen
This one’s a crowd favourite! Riding at Nozawa Onsen is the perfect mix of scenic cruising and cultural charm. The resort offers a generous spread of long, open runs ideal for beginners and intermediates, alongside steeper trails and off-piste zones for those wanting more of a challenge. Once you’re off the slopes, you’re straight into a quaint village filled with steaming onsens, narrow streets, and some of the best après-ski eats in Japan.
Mountains we’ll be riding
Madarao
Madarao is great for later in the week once your legs are warmed up! This resort is all about playful powder and tree runs, with 60% of the terrain left ungroomed. The resort features multiple official tree courses and natural bowls, great for intermediate riders looking to explore off-piste in a safe, controlled environment.

Crowd’s coming into Myoko and sometimes, it’s always fun to find fresh new lines away from them! We’ll be taking you to secret resorts that only the locals go to.
