Myoko Snowboard Beginner Camp
Min level: 1 Designed for riders who’ve already had a taste of the sport and want to lock it in. If you’ve spent a few days on snow, can slide down a green slope on your edges, and you’re now working on linking proper toe-and-heel turns, this camp gets you riding green runs smoothly and confidently. Our certified instructors will clean up any bad habits picked up early on, build on the correct foundation, and get you linking clean S-turns top to bottom — so you leave the week riding the mountain rather than surviving it. Who is this for? • Beginners who’ve had a couple of days on the slopes and can ride a green run on their edges • Anyone still working on linking turns and wanting to perfect their S-turns on green terrain What you will learn: • Cleaning up bad habits picked up early on • Building a solid, balanced riding stance • Confident toe-side and heel-side turns • Linking C-turns into clean S-turns • Controlling your speed using turn size & shape • Riding all green runs smoothly and confidently • Introduction to riding red slopes & switch riding (if ready)

To ensure effective learning, the group will be assessed and split up into different skill levels. We know this is not a bootcamp and there’s no need to rush through your holiday, so take some time to yourself with a Free and Easy day in the middle of the week. Ride, eat, be merry — it’s all up to you.

Afternoon
2.5 hours of lessons after lunch
Evening
Unwind at Myoko’s local onsens, eat, drink and hang out with the group. If you’re staying at Mountain Lodge, your package includes daily onsen ticket to Landmark Onsen next door. Dinner reservations will also be made each night at our favourite spots in Myoko. Prefer a quiet night in or on a budget? You’ll also have the option to cook and hang out at the lodge instead!
Each evening, our team of hosts will check the latest snow and weather conditions to pick the best resort for the next day, and give you tips on how to layer up properly!
Till next time
Just like that, it’s Saturday again and you’ll be off to your next adventure, on or off the board – but this is not goodbye, it’s see you again! If you’re heading to another location and would like to arrange for Ta-Q-Bin/ Black Cat to do a pick up for your bags, we’ll bring you to the nearest outpost on Friday evening before 6PM.

Accommodation
Myoko Mountain Hut
Myoko Mountain Hut is our home for the week — a private lodge for our group of 24, with no other guests but your trip mates. It’s the kind of place where strangers become trip mates fast, and by day two you’ll know each other a little too well (in the best way). Think hearty dinners after long days on snow, boots drying by the door, late-night debriefs over a drink, and the slow, easy evenings that end up being the part of the trip everyone talks about long after. We might even build our own mini snow park in the back yard. Ride hard, refuel, recharge, repeat.
Rooms & facilities:
Choose the room that suits you: a private queen room with ensuite, a twin room, or a spot in the 6-person bunk room. Bathrooms are shared throughout the lodge, with 5 showers and 6 toilets between the group.
You’ve asked for more ways to explore the mountains and this season, we’re making it happen. With a 7d6n itinerary starting this season, this means you can travel *between* our destinations and take in the sights of Japan without worrying about rushing on your holiday! From camps that open up progression across more levels – think carving, tree riding, even backcountry – to exploration experiences and expeditions designed to take you deeper into the mountains – you can experience it all, or as much as possible.
More ways to ride, more ways to progress – if this sounds like your kind of season, you’ll want in early.
Early Bird Sale begins 1 July, 4pm.
First Dibs go live on 30 June!
