Led by TRS hosts & certified instructors, our Niseko beginner snowboard camp is designed to help you learn to snowboard with a fun like-minded group who just like you, are eager to pick up and improve in the sport.
With our in-depth knowledge of the mountains, we know the best slopes to facilitate a safe and effective learning environment, according to your skill level.
All are welcome, from complete first-timers with no experience to anyone who is still looking to improve and perfect their S-turns.
Our 4-Day beginner snowboard course includes 2 full day + 2 half day lessons, customised to your ability to ensure quick and effective learning. An ideal lesson duration for optimised learning and to be you leave Niseko confident of your newly learnt skills.
Your dedicated instructors will follow you through your learning journey, monitor your progress individually and will make sure no one gets left behind.

Improve on your turning techniques with constant hands-on instruction and feedback. Learn different turning techniques to use on different slope steepness.

Explore the rest of the mountain with your new skills. Get the chance to try out steeper terrain and attempt basic freestyle tricks. On a good powder day, you'll get a taste of what powder riding can feel like.

Arrive at New Chitose Airport, gather at the designated meeting point in the airport or from Sapporo City to head into Niseko.
Your hosts will pick you up from Hirafu Welcome Centre at your scheduled arrival time on the shuttle bus. Pick ups will begin from check in time at 4PM onwards.
If you arrive earlier than 4PM, you may wish to explore niseko on foot to get lunch etc! Please wait at Hirafu Welcome Centre for the pick up at 4PM!
Please take note that we are unable to provide ad-hoc pick ups from other locations apart from Hirafu Welcome Centre!
Check in, meet the crew for the week and get cosy as we brief you on Niseko’s ski areas and attractions. There will also be a supply run to the convenience store to get breakfast for the next day.

To arrive at New Chitose Airport 1.5 hours before your scheduled bus departure time.
You may also choose to fly in a day earlier on Friday to spend 1 night at the CTS airport onsen/ Sapporo City – then take the shuttle on Saturday, Day 1.
The lodge in Niseko will only be available for check in/out on a Sat-Sat basis.
Today, your instructors will take you to the slopes to begin your lessons. The group will be split up according to your level of experience (first-timers vs beginners) and your instructors will have a lesson plan tailored according to your group’s overall ability, fitness and general progression.
After the full day of lessons, you will be familiar with strapping into your snowboard, skating around with your board, taking the chair lift as well as sliding and slowing down on both your heel side and toe side variations.
These skills will give you the confidence to make your way down beginner slopes slowly and carefully, as well as avoid any obstacles along the way. The day on the slopes will end at 5PM today and you’ll head back to the apartments to freshen up and explore the town after.
Excited about Niseko’s Japanese food fare? Our team always looks forward to recommending you the best lunch spots at each ski resort, to ensure you taste the very best of Niseko. At the end of each day, dinner is free & easy. You will have the option of dining out at a wide selection of restaurants and bars, all minutes away from the accommodation, or cooking in your apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen. Grocery stores are also conveniently located minutes away to get all your grocery needs.
Day 3 of the camp is when we take it up a notch! The morning will be used to practice and improve your basic heel-side and toe-side progression.
Once your instructors see that you are ready, they will introduce to you the techniques of turning on a snowboard. You will use the next half of the day to practice and master both your C & S turns and eventually linking them up and making your turns as smooth as possible.
By the end of the day, you will have learnt all the necessary beginner techniques there are to snowboarding and it’s all about practice from here on.
Your 3rd day on the slopes is when you’ll start getting the hang of your newly learnt skills. The first 2 days are always the most challenging and from here on out, you’ll see improvements and progression a lot quicker. You will start to really understand the movements and techniques required and this is when you will really start to enjoy snowboarding and understand why so many are addicted to it.
Your instructor will use the day to fine-tune your techniques and ensure that no bad habits are formed during the course of your learning.
Lessons today will be half a day in the morning. Use the 2nd half of the day to practice on your own or take a break if you start to feel tired.
Your final half-day lesson of the week! Today, your instructor will take you around the resort to explore new runs, have a go at slightly steeper terrain and get to see the different terrain features of the resort. You’ll be amazed at the vastness of this amazing resort and understand why we head back here year after year.
Use your last day with your instructor to practice what you have learnt so far to reinforce the techniques and gain confidence snowboarding.
Lessons today will be half a day in the afternoon. Use the 1st half of the day to practice on your own or take a break if you start to feel tired.
We head out to Rusutsu Ski Resort today! You will be split up into your skill levels to explore the mountains safely, or practice your turns on wide open runs! If you are not comfortable heading out, feel free to hang back in Niseko!
Put all you’ve learnt to the test on your last day on the slopes. Today you have the freedom to explore the whole of Niseko & really put your newly learnt skills to the test. Join up with the rest of the group for mountain orientation in the morning and make your way around the mountain in the afternoon at your own pace.
Before you know it, Saturday would have come again and it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy your final day in Niseko, bid farewell to friends new & old and you’ll make your way to your next destination. We will be leaving together on the airport shuttle bus to New Chitose Airport.

We have designed 2 programmes in Niseko to cater to all skill levels, from an absolute first timer all the way to advanced riders.
Regardless of your experience, we guarantee you will have a blast with these 2 programmes, specially designed for your skill level. Both programmes are suitable for individuals, friends and families.
Choose from booking a single spot for solo travellers, a private room for couples or an entire 4 pax bedroom for friends and families.
The 2 programmes will be run concurrently with each other, with all participants of both programmes in the same accommodation apartment. This allows you to join us as a group of family or friends with different skill levels, while still joining in a programme most suited to your skill level.
You will be together each day and only split up during the daily programme lessons and guiding.
